I am sorry for my long absence, it was something out of my control. Maybe we'll get to what it was later, but for now, let's move onto something of more importance:
In your human Waukesha, Wisconsin, a 12-year-old human girl was horribly attacked by her 'friends' in the name of the dreaded Slenderman, and is now clinging to life as we speak.
As I have stated time and again, I have no ill will towards human kind, unlike other nightmare creatures, and news like this greatly saddens me.
Unfortunately, being a creature of nightmare, there is little I can do to help in this situation, but some of your fellow humans have set up a fundraiser to help this young human.

Hello my little minions! 
I thought it was about time I explained a few things to you, just cuz I love you all so much
Q: Smile.Dog or Smile.jpg?
A: Simple. Smile.Dog is what I AM, Smile.jpg is my formal title, and "Smiley" is my informal title that all you little minions can call me if you so wish
Q: Are you the REAL Smile.dog?
A: Of course I am!
Q: Then how are you typing on a computer? You have paws!
A: You think my severed human arm is just for show? No, he's the one who does all the typing, his name is Alex. He's not perfect though, being just a severed arm, so you'll have to pardon any typos.
Q: How did you come across Alex the severed arm?
A: Alex used to be a little known home photographer whom got murdered when his house got broken into while he was there. Since he was so unknown by people, his body wasn't discovered for years, and thus avoided the public eyes. But while most of his spirit went to the afterlife, part of him, his left arm, to be exact, didn't move on for some reason and ended up in the Nightmare Realm where I happened to find him, luckily before Slenderman did, since he doesn't really take too kindly to the weaker beings of the nightmare realm.
Q: What food do you eat?
A: Since I'm a immortal creature of the Nightmare Realm, I don't really NEED to eat, but sometimes when I'm in people's dreams, if they dream about food, I can usually eat that just for the heck of it if I really want to. Creatures of the Nightmare Realm also tend to "eat" the weaker beings that reside in it, but I usually don't.
Q: Why are you here?
A: To spread the word to all my little minions out there, and to fix the damage done by Smile.RED

A: Exactly, a fake file name for a fake Smile.dog.
Q: So who exactly IS Smile.RED?
A: A envious border collie who wanted the fame for himself, so he tricked others into thinking he was the real Smile.dog, to the point where he was transformed into a monster himself.
Q: So...He IS "A" Smile.dog?
A: If you want to get into technicalities...Though the major difference is "I" you, Smile.RED doesn't.
Q: Are you evil?
A: That would be like asking fire if it's evil just because it has a CHANCE of setting a person on fire. Evil? In my opinion, no, all I ask is for people to spread the word, and then they flip out and refuse to do it for some reason. So I can't leave, and for some reason, they start having seizures, that's hardly my fault.
Now, that said, it's not that I don't enjoy my job, simply for the fact that I get to travel around the world and meet new people, not so wild about the ones that kill themselves for no reason, but, again, hardly my fault.
So, in a nutshell, I would not say I'm evil, but what you want to think is entirely up to you.
Q: what is the actual use of sharing the picture?
And also, why did you take it? I mean was it like a picture of you smiling and Alex waving at the camera just for fun, but did the lack of light in it cause insanity? Or was there some other, twisted idea behind it?
A: The use of sharing the picture is, quite simply, to speared the word. See, the pecking order in the Nightmare Realms works like this: The more people believe in you and the more popular you are, the more REAL you are, and the more REAL you are, the more powerful you are, the more powerful you are, the less likely chance that you're going to get eaten by the other creatures of the Nightmare Realms. So, by having people spread the word, I am having them believe in me, thus assuring a higher chance of survival.
As for your other question...That's actually quite embarrassing...
See, that's not my first photo. Before Slenderman appeared in the Nightmare Realm, us creatures had little problem going back and forth between your world and ours. I've been here far longer then the Internet. I would appear as a normal husky, influence a human to take me to a photographer (Or portrait painter, in the FAAAAR back days), and have my picture taken, then continue to physically move that picture from person to person via mailbox, Christmas cards and whatnot. The problem was, the pictures didn't last too long, they'd get damaged, lost, etc. etc. And was a terrible inconvenience.
Then one day, I had a party with some of the creatures around my side of the Nightmare Realm, what it was for, I...Have trouble recalling, for during that time, I had consumed a lot of...Our version of what you humans would call "Alcohol", and apparently pictures were taken during that period.
Eventually, you humans developed the computer enough to send messages and pictures though it, and one of the creatures decided to insert the picture onto your Internet as a joke. At first, I was quite angry, as that photo...Wasn't exactly my best, but eventually I learned to use it to my advantage in the fight for survival.
Why it causes insanity or seizures to some people, I do not know. My BEST guess would be that it's because it was taken with a camera that was from the Nightmare Realm, and some humans are more sensitive to such things then others.
But I assure you, that is not my intention. I honestly hold NO ill feelings to humans. After all, if your kind didn't exist, we'd all smother out, so killing you would be quite counterproductive.
Unfortunately, there are some creatures, such as Smile.RED and Slenderman, who feel that the best way to make themselves known is by killing humans. I am NOT one of those creatures, though.
Q: Why is your webcam different then your icon?
A: When that boyfriend of the lady that killed herself gave the detective my picture, he edited it beforehand as a joke. Most people don't know, he never really did like that lady, he was just with her for money. So for a long time my face was forced to look like that, until Smile.RED jumped in and started making people believe that he was Smile.dog, leaving me all but forgotten among the interwebs...Until I pulled a few strings and got that boy's uncle to crack and give my REAL picture up to some paranormal investigators, thus releasing my true self back to my minions. Though some great damage has been done, the real picture has gotten a LOT of wear and tare, and Smile.RED has made it so that I have to use this fake face to make sure my minions notice me. Hopefully we shall fix that soon...
Q: Do you know Jeff?
A: Contrary to most people think, not that well. I heard he's good friends with my Uncle Bob, though.
Q: How about Freddy Kruger?
A: Heck yeah! He, Ghostface, Jason Voorhees Alex and I often get together for New Years parties. He still owes me a new Pool Table, though...
